Brain lung cancer outlook

Brain Lung cancer has a poor outlook. On average, people with untreated lung cancer survive little more than 6 months. Overall, even with therapy, fewer than 15% of people survive for 5 or more years. Because small cell cancer has almost always spread beyond the lung at the time of diagnosis, its outlook is worse than for other types of lung cancer.
