Signs And Symptoms of Bronchitis
What are Bronchi?
Bronchi are the set of thin air tubes that line the lungs in a human body. Rubor of these air tubes is mainly due to throat infection, flu or common cold. The cold temperatures affect the broncitis patients very badly. The disease is usually spared by inhaling contaminated air or by means of smoking.
What Causes Bronchitis?
When investigated under a microscope, the cells of your lungs usually look very tall have the shape and size of large columns. They are in turn covered by cilia which have the tendency to move upward. This upward motion of the cilia is very similar to wind blowing across a field of corn.
This gentle motion of the cilia secures the human lungs since this movement tends to take the dusty particles away from the air sacs present inside the lungs.

Symptoms of Bronchitis
Some of the visible and common symptoms of bronchitis are:
The ciliated lung cells are often discredited by the agents like the smoke of a cigar and other chemical and industrial pollutants. The movement of the cilia often has proven to be unproductive. This results in mucus secretion which in turn in the tubes which in accumulation leads to coughing and difficulty in breathing. This is the perfect case of Bronchitis. Action of leucocytes can prevent bronchitis to a limited extent.
Wheezing is yet another common symptom of bronchitis. The circular shaped muscle near the air sacs tend to contract giving rise to wheezing.
Bronchitis is characterized as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) disease. This can in turn become chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD) in the long run. The fine thin air sacs of the lungs burst and become large air spacing. As a result the area for oxygen transfer to the blood comes down. As such, improper oxygenation makes the other organs suffer.
Due to severe augmentation of mucus in the air sacs, breathing difficulty becomes very common. Limited oxygen is supplied to blood. This results in bluish skin and the state is termed as cyanosis.
Symptoms of Bronchitis are also visible in the heart. Enlargement of heart occurs due to the need of increased pressure to pump out blood into the lings. This often results in edema.
Make a note of this and detect the problem during the early stages and get the problem treated quickly, effectively and comfortably.
