Swine flu is a respiratory illness that has been found to be caused by a very new variant of virus referred to as 2009 H1N1 virus. This virus possesses genes from pigs found in Europe and Asia, human and birds (avian) and is popularly referred to as quadruple recurrent virus infection. Currently, relenza and tamiflu are used to treat this ailment. H1N1 vaccine has been made available too.
