Cold weather can aggravate the symptoms of asthma in asthmatic patients because it is generally more difficult for asthma patients to breathe in cold weather. Moreover, if it is at a high altitude then lesser oxygen content in the air adds to the problem due to less oxygen saturation by the lungs.
