It is considered dangerous for asthmatics to scuba dive because many asthmatics have air trapped inside their lungs which can expand and the airways in the lungs can rupture while the scuba diver is ascending to the surface. This air bubble can get into the blood vessels and get lodged in the brain or other organs, which can prove to be fatal.
