Bacterial keratitis contagious


Keratitis is the inflammation of the eye’s cornea, which causes pain and blurred vision. Bacterial infection of the cornea can be caused by an injury or from wearing contact lenses. Keratitis is sometimes mistaken for conjunctivitis. While conjunctivitis is contagious, there’s no evidence to prove that bacterial keratitis is contagious.

  1. eratitis is sometimes mistaken for conjunctivitis. While conjunctivitis is contagious, there’s no evidence to prove that bacterial keratitis is contagious.

  2. Thanks for the information about whether bacterial keratitis is contagious or not. Many people are afraid that this and other benign conditions like angular cheilitis or cracked mouth corners as it is commonly called are contagious making life a living hell for their victims.
