You may qualify for disability if you have emphysema, however you may not be immediately approved for disability if you have emphysema. People seeking disability for emphysema may have to take on the disability appeal system. If your emphysema was caused by exposure to toxic chemicals from working in a factory you are more likely to receive disability. However if the reason you are suffering is because you smoke cigarettes, then it is alot more difficult to aquire.
My farther has been through this process this is how i know of it.
