As far as im aware, you are infact able to claim disability for Emphysema. But there is a process which you must go through first of all. For example if you have worked on a chemical plant for 6 years then you may be considered for disability insurance.
However if you are a heavy smoker, then i highly doubt that you would qualify for disability insurance.
